Overview Databases


	Total Economy Database Description: The Total Economy Database is a comprehensive database with annual numbers of GDP, population, employment, hours and productivity for about 125 countries in the world.


	Total Economy Growth Accounting Database Description: The GGDC Total Economy Growth Accounting Database provides measures of labour, capital services and multi factor productivity at the aggregate economy level. The database covers 15 European Countries, the European Union and the United States from 1980 onwards.


	GGDC 10-Sector Database Description: The GGDC 10-Sector database provides a long-run internationally comparable dataset on sectoral productivity performance in Asia, Europe, Latin America and the US. Variables covered in the data set are value added, output deflators, and persons employed for 10 broad sectors from 1950 onwards.


	EU KLEMS Database Description: The EU KLEMS includes measures of output and input growth, and derived variables such as multi-factor productivity at the industry level. The input measures include various categories of capital (K), labour (L), energy (E), material (M) and service inputs (S). The measures are developed for twenty-five individual European Union member states, the United States and Japan. It covers 30 to 72 industries for the period from 1970 onwards.


	GGDC Productivity Level Database Description: The GGDC Productivity Level database provides comparisons of output, inputs and productivity at a detailed industry level for a set of thirty OECD countries for 1997. It complements the EU KLEMS growth and productivity accounts by providing comparative levels and follows it in terms of country and industry coverage, variable definition and basic data.


	Historical National Accounts Database Description: The datahub on Comparative Historical National Accounts provides information on Gross Domestic Product at current and constant prices, including an industry breakdown for 10 major sectors, for the 19th and 20th centuries. This dataset is a complement to Angus Maddison’s estimates of World GDP. Currently it covers 21 countries in Asia, Europe and North America.


	Maddison Historical Statistics Description: The Historical Statistics provide data on Population, GDP and GDP per capita for all countries in the world for the period 0-2008.
