Workshop at the Occasion of Angus Maddison's 80th Birthday

Celebration 80th Birthday Angus Maddison

On 6 December of this year, Angus Maddison, who is one of the founders as well as the intellectual leader of the GGDC, will celebrate his 80th birthday. At this occasion, the GGDC holds a series of two workshops in his honour, on the topic of World Economic Performance: Past, Present and Future.

The first workshop will be held on Friday 27 October at the University of Groningen and will focus on Europe, the Americas and Africa. On 5 and 6 December a second workshop will be held at the University of Queensland in Brisbane (Australia) which will focus on Asia and Australia.

Information can be obtained from Bart van Ark (for the Groningen workshop) and Prasada Rao (who organizes the Brisbane meeting).
